How We Do Reviews
Let's start with how we do reviews around here.
We buy stuff we think is cool with our own money. We use it. We live with it. Then we tell you what we think.
We're also completely open to companies sending us things to try. If someone wants to send us something, we'll use it and we'll write about it. Same deal.
So, This Watch
We're not feeling it.
The Casio MRW200H is inexpensive, and we love a good value proposition. That's actually one of the reasons we wanted to try it.
But after using it, it's just not for us.
The band feels too thin. The resin case feels a little strange on the wrist. And the plastic/"mineral" crystal doesn't give us the feeling that this is a watch we'd want to knock around with for years.
Does That Make It a Bad Watch?
Nope.
There are undoubtedly plenty of people who will buy this watch, wear it every day and absolutely love it. And that's great.
One of the things we like about the world is that we're all different. What doesn't work for us might be exactly what somebody else is looking for.
So we're not going to tell you not to buy this watch. We're just going to say it's not our value proposition.
If you're looking for an inexpensive everyday watch, take a look at some of the other watches we've listed here. There may be one that makes more sense for you.
And if you absolutely love the MRW200H?
All the power to you. Seriously.
That's what makes reviewing stuff fun.
